PERSPECTIVE
We can provide historical perspective. Many of our speakers have been in combat and can speak honestly and realistically about the tragedies of war and tis inevitable consequences. We've learned that no one can return from war without being profoundly affected, physically and emotionally.OUR SPEAKERS
The Veterans For Peace Speakers Bureau is comprised of veterans of World War II, the wars in Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, and the Iraq War. They are women and men who come from a cross-section of economic and social backgrounds and who share a strong belief that, before going off to war, young people owe it to themselves, and to their loved ones, to listen to those who "have been there". Our speakers draw on their personal experiences to accurately describe military life and war.WE WANT TO BRING A SPEAKER TO OUR TOWN
